Thanksgiving day
Nov. 24th
Dear Ones at Home
It is 8 oclock. The Dr
has gone to the hospital
for a few minutes and
Dr Niles is out looking after
a sick baby. Henry was down
to tea and is now on his
way home. Has a boat and
the tide is in favor. It did
seem so nice to have him
here. We took dinner with
Miss Lewis and Butler and
Sophie I may add. She is going
to be the light of that house
It seems like a different
place since she came.
She is already at work in
the school. We were out in
the Chapel at a meeting
Henry spoke also [?Kwen
Loi and Ysoi Sunshang?].
Sophia used the instrument
and played so nicely.
I have in spirit been

in the home on the Hill
Em and Hattie will no
doubt have finished [illegible]
trip and there will be six
around the hearth stone.
Dear little Mother is having
her first Thanksgiving in
heaven . What a blessing
to think she is so safe from
all that can distress or harm
her.
Nov 30th Wrote this far
and now [illegible] is waiting
for the mail can not write
another line. Tell [?Feather?]
I did not mean to send
off the mail without a letter
to him . With much love
to all the dear Ones

亲爱的在家的人
现在是 8 点。
