For the Seville Sabbath School
My dear young friends
We had quite a
happy surprize the other
afternoon. Brother Henry
came down and taking
quite a number of letters
from his pocket handed
them to us saying these I
brought from Cal. and I have
one more {drawing out another
This is for [u]Our[/u] sabbath
school at home have sent
you $20.00--- How glad we
were to have it - to feel that
it was really $20.00 that had
come in pennies - dimes
and 25 ct pieces from the
children and young people
who seem so near and dear to
us. I really do not keep up
with the changes brought by
the years which have gone
since that Sabbath when I
heard my precious class for
the last time - at least for a
long time. But if I were to
come in upon you - it seems
the only change would be found
to be that those then children
are now putting on manhood
and woman-hood. Well shall
I tell you what we hope to do
with your money? Perhaps
Father or some of our family
have already told you we are
very anxious to build a new
school house for the Boarding
School. Have already written
to Dr Ellinwood the secretary
of the Board of Missions to know
if we may do so - and we hope
very much in four of five
weeks to get a letter telling us
we may. Well the Board is
very much in debt and we
do not expect they will let us
have nearly all the money we
need for it but we said if
they would send us something

I sometimes find myself counting the years
until I may enjoy a home visit - perhaps in
three more if I
live I may see
you in the Seville
Church. But if
we do not meet
here we may
hope to be togeth
er sometime
on the other side
of the river
