Description
An account of the resource
This is a copy of a stone tablet found in the Noyes Collection. It could have been supporting material for one of Henry's sermons describing the widespread proliferation of Christianity. The stone tablet is now housed in the Stele Forest or Beillin Museum in Xi'an, China. According to Columbia University, the stone tablet was found in 1625 and is in both Syriac and Chinese. It describes Nestorian Christian missions in China between the years 635 and 781. Nestorian Christianity argues that the divine and human natures of Christ are independent of one another.
