Canton China
April 8th 1889
My dear Em -
The old man
who carries the letters to the
Post office has come to
ask if they are ready so I
can only write a few more
lines . Miss Butler has a
long letter for Mary which
I know you will all
enjoy. I am still very
busy over the account have
gone over them all back
to the time that I left
but I have nearly finished
There are ever so many
things I wish to write
about when I get a
little time .I suppose
you are back in
Wadsworth now. It

is still damp and
rainy here . When I
came to look over my books
that I had brought I found
that the copy of Peloubet's
Notes for 1888 is not here.
Of course that is the very
one that we wish for just
now .as the SSchool here
is now going over last year's
lessons . I suppose it must
be at home and if so please
send it at once so that we
can have it as soon as
possible . Then I do not
find any of the photographs
of Father + Mother and
myself . If any are left
after you have given
out those that were asked
for please send them
do not send those that

you each took . If there
are none left let me know
and I will send for
some more . Miss Butler
wishes to have one of both
Father's and Mother's.
I will enclose some
postage stamps which
are all stuck together
perhaps Mary will
have skill and patience
enough to get them
apart . With much
love for all from
Your aff sister
Hattie -
