Letter from Henry

This is part of a letter from Henry. Judging from the stationary, he is on the S.S. Minnesota. He says they sailed close to the Aleutian Islands and that the boat is now 400 miles away from Shanghai. They plan to arrive in Hong Kong by September 30. He mentions the Presbytery Mission meeting and that Sarah has been quite tired since getting home last summer.

there Saturday morning Sept 19th and
remaining till 10-P.M on Monday
Evening -- We then left and arrived
here Early this Wednesday morning -
It has a beautiful sail yes-
terday through the inland sea,
land in sight all the time -- I
do not know whether I mentioned in
the last letter that we sailed so
close to the Aleutian islands in mid-
Pacific that they were in sight most
of two days so we have not been
out of sigh of land long at a time
anywhere - It is [--4--] over 400
miles from here to Shanghai. We
leave for [?their port?] to- night and
will probably [--leave--] reach Shanghai Saturday
morning -- leave sometime on Sunday
and reach Hong Kong September 30th and
Canton Oct 1st We had a letter from

William as we had one from him
at Yokohama + Kobe - He certainly
has his hands full of work I shall
be glad to be back to help him -
It [?was?] just about time of Mission
meeting - Presbytery meeting - Station
meetings - getting the fall term of
school started - paying the helpers
that had been in the Employ of
Drs Fulton + Beattie - besides visiting
+ holding communion services at two
of their station - and in the midst
of it trying to get walls repaired
that had been blown down by the
typhoon --- Probably I will take
some of the accounts of his hands
and can do something in the
way of visiting [?country?] stations -
saving my youth as it were
visiting the old stations where
I used to work. I suppose

Sarah is back at work at
Jacksonville before this time. I
hope she will not work too hard
this year. She certainly was
very tirEd when she got home
last summer-- more tired than
she ought to be. I hope [?you?] are
all feeling wEll --
