Respected Ladies,
I have lately
received the present of a
handsome silk shawl, from
some members of the congre
-gation; & as I know not to
whom I am indebted for
the valuable present, I shall
express my gratitude to the
donors in a written com
-munication. Please to accept
my sincere thanks for the
favour bestowed upon me.
I prize the article highly
not only on account of its value
but for the kind feelings man-
ifisted. I have ever regarded
such tokens of affection with
grateful remembrance for this
act of benevolence, & kindness,
may you be abundantly re-
warded. That the blessing

of God may rest upon you
is the wish of one, who I trust
will ever take a deep, & lively
interest in your temporal
and external welfare. That
the recipient of our favor
may be quickened in duty
is the sincere wish of your
pastors wife
Yours [?Affection?]
