License to Solemnize Marriages to Varnum, January 3, 1826

This certificate recognizes that in the Court of Common Pleas in Medina, Medina County, Honorable Reuben Wood, President of the Third Judicial Circuit of the Court, and Honorable Frederick Brown, Associate Judge of Medina County approved Varnum's application to solemnize marriages in the State of Ohio on account of his credentials and status as a Minister of the Gospel. The State of Ohio Medina County [symbol]
Be it remembered that at a Jan of
the Court of Common Pleas began
and held at the Courthouse is the
town of Medina within and for
the County of Medina, on Monday
the Seventh day of November, in the year of our
Lord one thousand eight hundred and thirty one, by
and before the Hon Reuben Wood President of
the third judicial circuit of the Courts of Common
Pleas in said State, and the Hon Frederick
[?Brown?] and Reuben Smith associate Judge of
said County, holding said court, then and then
came the Rev. Varnum Noyes and made appli-
cation for a license to solemnize marriages in
said State. And the said Noyes having [?prudent?]
credentials of his being a regular ordained Minister
of the Gospel he is hereby licenced to solemnize
marriages in said State, in conformity with the
statue in such case made and provided.
In testimony whereof I [?hereunto?] sign my
