be different. I do hope
your last weeks will not
be full of work but suppose
they will be. The sewing
man we have here can
do very good work and
it would seem nice if he
could save your time
Miss Lewis says you write
that you are growing stout
It will not be advisable
for you to [?look fan?] me
in that respect. Alin has a
little daughter. Her husbands
family are very much disap-
pointed but if she becomes
again a helper in the school
she could care for a girl
much better than a boy.
I can not realize that
perhaps a little more than
12 weeks will bring you to
us {God willing}. But for my
self the distress of those that
are left quite over shadows
the feelings I should other
wise have in thinking of
your coming. I can not
realize how it will seem
to have you in another
home. But I know how it
is here now and it does
not seem as though I formed
plans about any thing so
we shall be ready to accept
whatever the future brings.
It will not be long in
any case that the Dr and
I will have to work, what
is done must be done
quickly. Even if my life is
spared he can not likely
work on very many years more
But our hands will be full
while we are here. Last Satur
day we had a little picnic
to the new ground purchased
on Fata. It is a much
more lovely place than I
thought. Mr Wisner has his
boys larger ones over there
already.
Tues. Morn. The Drs out at the
hospital. A Mission letter
yesterday says that the Board
feel doubtful about Mr
Fultons application for leave
to go home. The Mission
simply gave him permission
to do as he requested "Ask the
Board to visit America. Mr
Henry wrote this to the Secre
taries but Mr Fultons letter
of same date states that the
Mission approved of his going
Dr Mitchell says "We are a little
uncertain about the view of
the Mission, whether they approve
it or not. Between you and I
let me say that Mary says if any
thing keeps Albert from going
she shall leave at once without
asking anybody. Of course
if she goes she will not expect
to return [--not--] as long as her
Mother lives. It will be hard
for her to give up her work
here for she has but just become
fitted for it. Miss Butler told
me last night that she was
overjoyed at the prospect of your
return. But she has no brother
and sisters to be left behind. I feel
a thrill of pleasure often at the
first thought of it but it is always
succeeded by sadness. It must
be very pleasant to feel that every
one will welcome you when you
