A nice little card of precious
texts from Miss Johnstone
and Mrs Happer and Lucy
sent me a night dress
all made so you see I
was not forgotten although
a comparative stranger
to people here. How thank
ful I am for all the kind
friends God has given me
more thankful than for any
other gift except my dear
precious Father Mother brothers
and sister - I went to tiffin
at Mrs Johnson and then
attended bible class at Mrs
Burdon's afterwards 3 of the
members of the class drank
a cup of tea with her then
I came back to prayer
meeting at Mr LuMonts
He made such good re-
marks from the passages

where Christ washed the
disciples feet teaching us
a lesson of humility. I do
enjoy his sermons and
prayer meeting exercises
so much. Came home
ate dinner and now am
spending the eve with you
You can not think how
much I have gained during
the past fortnight - Am
feeling quite strong shall
soon be able to take
short walks if I keep on
improving. Dr OBrien
still maintains I will
get better says he does
not consider me a con-
firmed consumptive and
I now for the first time
really feel encouraged my-
self. It is rather a singular
experience to be under
the care of two physicians
