Medway August 25 1831
At a special meeting of Mendom Association in the
West Parish of Medway at the house of Rev. Mr. Ide this
25th day of Aug. Rev Mr. Long of Milford was chosen
moderator, + opened the meeting with prayer.
Rev. Mr Wright of Holliston, More of Natick, Noyes
of Needham, + Rand of Boston, were invited to sit +
deliberate with them.
Mr Varnum Noyes presented a request to be ordained
as an Evangelist or Missionary to the West.
The Association proceeded to examine him as to his
qualification for the work of the gospel ministry.
After examination, the Association expected their
satisfaction with Mr. Noyes' reasons for desiring
Ordination + with his qualification for the ministry
+ voted to proceed to the services of his ordination.
Appointed Rev. Mr. Ide to preach the sermon.
Rev. Mr. Noyes of Needham to give the Charge.
Rev. Mr. Smally to give the R.H. of fellowship.
Rev. Mr. Fitch to make Introductory prayer.
Rev. Mr Thacher to make the concluding prayer.
Voted to adjourn to attend the public services of
